This model features a pure '100%' FSX file system with complete DDS texture sets that work properly in Direct X 10 platforms.
Updates
The newest updates are now out and ready for download. These
were uploaded on April 10th, 2008 at 23:26 Zulu GMT (Time). This
latest build is now 4.1. The package must be reloaded to obtain the
many various updates. The following updates were done to the 4.1
build;
* 2D Panels issue now rectified in FSX planes
* FSX 2D panels and FS2004 2D panels fitted with heading and
compass adjustment dials
* 3 Aircraft Textures from previous release builds re-added to the
FSX fleet.
* Rudder sensitivity and steering sensitivity for the FS2004 Vikings
has been adjusted for use with Auto-Rudder Joysticks. (Adjusted
to the new settings also featured on the FSX fleet of Vikings).
Please note that in the FSX fleet of Vikings, the fuel selector starts
in Left Tank selection. You can switch that to 'All' tanks when
starting your flight.

Question: What all does the package come with?
Ansere: This is a high detail package of the Bellanca Super Vikings, both Turbo and regularly
asperated models. There are 15 paint schemes, each with color coordinated interiors, high
detail fully functioning Virtual Cockpits, four panel color selections in black, beige, gray, and
wood venner, and two version of Avionics stacks, a modern King system, and a vintage
Bendix. Even the pilots (male and optional female) are also dressed in different attire in each
aircraft.
Question: Can I just install the Vikings over the old ones?
Ansere: No. If you have the early builds of 2.1 or lower, you need to delete them from the Sims,
(both FSX and FS2004). If you do not, you will note the older versions showing up and the new
Vikings 'not'. They are now in new folder names for reasons of organization which will cause
them to all show in FS. If you have downloaded custom paint schemes, simply pull the old
versions of Viking folders onto your desktop, then run the installer, and later, reinstall your
addon paint scheme packs.
Question: Does this package come with 'all' the paint schemes done by Lionheart Creations?
Ansere: Yes. This includes paint schemes done 'additionally' by LHC between model builds,
done as free addons.
Question: Are there two versions to download, one for FS2004 and one for FSX? Or is this a
single download package with both?
Ansere: Both. This is a dual installer that has both types of models in it.
Question:
Is the FSX Super Viking Collection a 'pure' 100% FSX model set? or is it a 'port over' FS9
model adapted to work in FSX.
Ansere:
This is a pure 100% FSX model featuring full DDS textures throughout for use in DirectX 10
gameplay.

There is no heading adjustment on the directional gyro gauge in FS2004 panels? How do you
change the heading?
Ansere:
You rotate the round 'Turn' knob on the RCA-III Auto Pilot, left of the Avionics Stack.

How do you reset the true heading on the directional gyro gauge?
Ansere:
Click 'D' on your keyboard. This will reset your direction.
Question:
There are two version of Vikings, the Super Viking and the Turbo Viking. What are the
differences?
Ansere:
Generally, there are almost no differences on the 'physical' models, but how they handle will
be very different. The primary difference you will notice is cruise speed and higher cieling of
the Turbo version. They are known to be seen up at FL 21,000 feet. The Turbo uses a 250 HP
engine, while the non-turbo has a 300 HP engine.
Question:
There are no rivets and panel lines on the wings and fuselage? Why not?
Ansere:
The Bellanca Viking uses composite wood covered wings which are glued and baked in an
oven curing process, thus creating a very aerodynamic wing surface. The Fuselage and
moving control surfaces are covered with fabric over steel tubing structures, thus also creating
a rivetless and panel-less airframe structure that becomes very 'slippery' in the air.

Why are there 2 of every paint scheme that show up in FS?
Ansere:
One features a Male pilot, the next features a Female pilot.

Does this package come with scenery?
Ansere:
Unfortunately, this package does not come with extra scenery.

Why is there still a vintage Auto Pilot on the right side of the panel when the modern panel
comes with its own built in Auto Pilot?
Ansere:
The model was created with a 3 dimensional Auto-Pilot. This could not be deleted for several
reasons. Thus it remains in the panel.

Can you add your own Avionics to the Vikings?

Yes. The Avionics Stack was left 'flat faced' with no 3D knobs just so that people could install
custom exotic avionics from first such as SimFlyer.net who create superb Garmin systems for
adding to FS planes.

I opened the cooling door flaps on the panel, but on the exterior, they appear to not work?
Ansere:
Unfortunately, the cooling door flaps were not modelled into the cowling.
