There are presently 12 different exterior paint schemes that the Epic Victory comes with. Each exterior
paint scheme has a fitting interior and panel theme that will match it. Paint schemes mostly feature metal
flake metallic finishes with a classy, waxed shine.
The instrument panels feature the Garmin G1000 glass panel system as well as the MVP-50 engine
management screen, lower center. There are 5 different color schemes of instrument panels to
accompany the 12 variant interior/exterior themes. These panel versions include dove gray metal, carbon
fiber, cherry wood veneer, teak wood veneer, and walnut burl veneer. The center screen now features a
built in Checklist system like the actual Garmin screens. The MVP-50 features a secondary screen
showing the aircraft outline and system features/annunciations.
The instrumentation feature soft glow, high realism illumination for night flying 'without' the dome lights
being on. This enhances the night flying visuals. Control yokes are hide-able for being able to see
switches and controls that might be 'behind' the yokes. All primary instrumentation units (PFD, MFD,
MVP-50, Auto Pilot) have Maximize Popup modes for better visibility.
The Epic Victory comes with a 2D panel set, one gray and one wood. These are also duplicated into
Wide Screen versions which you can add to your planes if you have a wide screen monitor. One simply
adds in 'ws' to the 'panel' line of each aircraft Registry block in the 'aircraft.cfg' file of the Victory to set all
2D panels to wide screen visual modes.
There are many variants of interiors featured which include grays, mustard yellows, blues, and burgandy.
Each interior theme is coupled with a panel color theme as well, which as mentioned above consist of 5
different panel variations of themes.
Some features of the rear cabin interior are a fold out table that deploys when the landing gear are raised.
An Apple iPad tablet media computer sits on the mid-ship passenger seat. The iPad will fly over to the
table top when the table deploys during flight, as seen in the screenshots below.
The interior, such as the seats and the interior sides of the cabin walls 'illuminate' with a soft glow when the
'instrumentation lights' are on, (after the sun fully sets in Flight Simulator). A seperate switch on the
instrument panel turns on the rear cabin dome lights (2) for 'bright' illumination. Thust there are 2 modes of
rear cabin lighting. This also goes for the front cockpit area, having a seperate dome light for the front, as
well as the rear cabin.
Special Features are the 'extra's that the package features. In the Victory, you will find that there are a few.
There is a 'Park Mode' which has deployed wheel chocks, turbine inlet cover, and pitot flags. The co-pilot
female can be unhidden. There is a removeable nose cowling door which when animated away shows the
detailed nose compartment with batteries, hydraulic system, electrics boxes, GPS antennae arrays, and
several other systems. In the rear, the turbine engine access cowling is also removeable and shows you
the tight fit of the Pratt and Whitney jet. Another feature is the baggage which is unloaded to the pavement
via a command.
In the center top screenshot below, you can see the 'Remote Command Console' popup panel. This
manages your Special Features, such as front and rear cowlings animations, unhide copilot, etc. This also
includes Map view mode, and will call a fueling truck to your jet if the airport fascilities you are parked at
have one. The Remote Command console also features night mode (blue lighting) and has sound tone
buttons. Yellow illuminations on the RCC Annunciators specify 'non-flight' conditions, while green is 'ok in
flight mode annunciator callouts.
The Epic Victory is not yet available.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: I purchased the Victory and installed it but it doesnt show up in my Flight Sim. Why?
Answer: You may have a Windows OS-64bit which has the Program Folder renamed to
'Program Files (64)'. Simply run the installer again, and this time, before it uploads the files into
your computer, check the location of your Flight Simulator installation. If its not correct, then click
the small Browse button beside the address string and navigate to your FSX folder, then click
OK to start uploading the package.
This may be necessary also with some 'external hard drives' where FSX is located on a drive
other then C drive. This does not happen with all installations, only some.
Question: If the Victory goes into a next build series up, such as 2.0 or 3.0, do I need to
purchase the package all over again?
Answer: No. You are entitled to all factory updates, being an owner of the package. See your
vendor for details and request the update 'if' the update is a full 'complete installer' version
update. (Some mini-updates will be available, here only at Lionheart Creations. Vendors will not
carry the mini-updates on a normal basis).
Question: Will this plane work in FS2004? Is this a FS2004 version model or pure FSX?
Answer: This is a pure FSX only model, featuring dual VC and exterior models in FSX SDK
formats. This will 'not' work in FS2004, unfortunately. I tried all that I could to make this work in
FS2004.
Question: Is this available in other locations other then Lionheart Creations Ltd?
Answer: Yes. We sell through PCAviator.com in their downloads store, and also at the famous
Euro outlet, SimMarket.com which also feature a backup CD service for a small fee.
Question: Will this work on a slow computer? What are the requirements?
Answer: The Victory package is an elaborate, high detail package. With that said, we have
gone to great extents to make this aircraft run efficiently (very fast) on 'normal' computers. Our
glass panel system 'is' the fastest performing glass panel on the market for Flight Simulator.
However, its also very 'sparton' (basic) in code sophistication, which helps to make it low in
resource useage. We also did some innovative recondiguring of the center MFD GPS screen,
lowering refresh rates, enabling a new 'no-render sleep-mode' which shuts down the sim from
rendering the map when its not visible (it used to still render the map even when hidden, but we
found a way around that).
As for textures, which also cost heavily in Flight Simulator X, we used 'no' 32bit textures. When
high resolution was required, such as the fuselage texture sheet, we went with double size 2048
pixels in DXT-5 format (standard) so that Graphics Cards could manage them easily. Not all of
the textures are double size, many are still standard 1024 and 512 pixels square in size.
Thus your 'regular computer' should be able to run the Epic Victory under normal circumstances.
With that said, if you have your settings maxed out already, then you may have trouble with the
Victory and you will need to reduce one or two settings to enable smooth frame rates, 'if' you are
already maxed out in resources, (meaning barely running with low frame rates).
Question: Do you offer a Backup CD service?
Answer: Yes, we do now. We have an outside vendor that produces the CD for $12.00 USD.
The package is sent via best price mail service. Backup CD is available through PayPal
purchase system 'only'. For those that do not wish to use PayPal, we suggest going to
SimMarket.com for purchasing the Victory so you can aquire the CD offer from them. (Note that
the CD is 'additional' to the cost of the package).
Question: Will there be a textures performance pack for people that have older, slower
computers?
Answer: Yes. We will be releasing a performance pack in the near future as soon as we can.
Question: Will there be a paint kit for the Victory package?
Answer: Yes. Again, as soon as we can, we will have the paint kit uploaded. This will be in
Adobe Photoshop PSD layered format.
Question: What is in this package?
Answer: The Victory VLJ Biz Jet package features 12 aircraft liveries, perhaps 8 various
interior themes, and 5 panel texture themes. The texture mapping is quite elaborate. There are
various special features like parking mode with chocks, flags, and a turbine plug, a un-hideable
co-pilot, etc. The package also features a 2D panel with an extra version in 'wide screen'.
Question: Does this feature its own Soundpack or does it use a stock Soundpack?
Answer: The Epic Victory features its own sound package, based on one by famed FS
Developer Kirk Olsson, which has a unique, whisper quiet interior sound element for a
rear-engined, pressurized cabin airframe structure.
Question: I have a huge part sticking out of the top of my plane? What is that?
Answer: You must not have the FSX SP1 Service Pack installed. If you do, you may need to
re-install it. Make sure that your UAC in your Windows is adjusted to allow you to install this and
modify the FSX installation. Some report that their UAC security systems in vista and Win7 will
sometimes block you from the update process. You can download the FSX SP1 and SP2
update service packs for FSX at www.fsinsider.com
Question: When I boot up my plane, its all black. Why?
Answer: It sounds like your FSX installation is maxed out in resources from high settings.
Please lower your settings. To test this, turn off your clouds and your AA setting in Display.
When first installing your plane, you may need to reboot if you have Win7 OS64 and vista OS64.
Rebooting allows it to see the textures. This is rare, but happens now and then.
Question: My aircraft shows up, but my gauges arent showing. Why?
Answer: The installer at times will place the Gauges CAB file in the 'stock' location, C: drive. If
you have your Sim in a different location then usual, such as OS64 Program Files (64) or in
another drive (or both of the above), then simply track down where the installer placed your
LHC_EV.CAB file and drop it into your main Gauges folder in FSX. You can also run the
installer to a TEMP folder on your desktop, using the browse button before file uploads begin.
After it finishes, look in your gauges folder in there, locate the CAN file and drop that in the
Gauges folder in FSX.
Question: Will flying this plane for over 10 hours at a time cause bags under my eyes, double
vision, and other such side effects? Or have you figured out gaming codes and other such
enhancements that will enable me to fly this thing continuously around the clock?
Answer: No.... It will still wear you out and cause double vision and blood shot eyes from
extreme over-time flying. We suggest you take breaks. Go outside, see the sun, listen to the
birds, play in the rain, then get right back into your jet and fly some more. :) (Thats how I do it).
Question: When I try to turn when taxiing, I seem to slide forward instaed of turn. Why?
Answer: You are giving the front wheel too much turn. Try very small amounts. The front nose
gear does not have alot of weight on it and so it will not grip like other planes. The Epic Victory is
extremely lite weight and will easily slide the front tire with too much input.
Question: Where is the Checklist?
Answer: It is built into the center MFD computer screen. Click on CHK LIST and use PAGE
DN and PAGE UP buttons (small menu buttons along bottom of the MFD screen) to scroll
through the various pages. There are presently 10 total built in checklist pages that even cover
operation of the Autopilot as well as basic walk throughs for startup, flight, etc.
Question: I have the airplane's Auto Pilot on and it will not allow me to take off even though it is
not 'engaged' with altitude settings.
Answer: This is true. When you 'arm' the Auto Pilot, (green screen on, AP button off), you
already have Wing Levelor online. You 'can' still take off by using trim, but it is wise to have the
AP 'off' when taking off. You 'can' preset all settings for TRK, ALT/SEL, GPSS 'before' you
takeoff, by simply dialing in the settings with the knob for each setting, one at a time, without
using center 'lock' button on knob, dearm each setting as you program the next, (such as SEL
first, then turn it off, and turn on TRK, set, then turn it off, none are locked). Then turn off the unit
with Z keyboard key or panel rocker switch, take-off, then turn on the AP, and turn on SEL, click
Lock (center of knob), do this also for SEL also. Your settings are stored when you had preset
them.
Question: Why is the front perspex yellowish and the back windows are tinted?
Answer: The Perspex (front plexi for pilots) is gold tinted for maximum UV protection, with also
a band of tinting along the top. The rear passenger windows are normal tint on the outside, (one
way tinting). From the inside, the tinting is less extreme in the rear passenger area. Only from
the outside are they darkly tinted.
Question: I was adjusting my Auto Pilot, and suddenly perhaps 30 different voices spoke through
the Auto Pilot voice system all at once. Very loud! Why?
Answer: There is a bug in the voice system where if you hit certain keys at just the right moment,
the girls voice will repeat 10 or more times in quick fashion, like overlapping. You can turn off
the AP and then turn it back on to over-ride the issue.
Question: I see that the Victory also has XM Radio like the Epic LT / Dynasty. Can I set my
own music in this?
Answer: Yes. Just make 16bit WAV file copies of your fave songs with a music compiler and
save them as SND20 through SND26. Drop those into your LHC Sound folder in the main FSX
Sound folder. In the plane, with batteries on, click the XM Radio rocker switch (left XM switch)
and then click the Rocker selector to the right of it to shuffle through your songs.
Question: I am interested in purchasing an actual Epic Victory, but I hear that they are now out
of business. Is this true?
Answer: Yes and no. They are presently under bankruptcy proceedings. An American firm is
trying to negotiate take-over for the company and will reopen the doors and restart production
again. Please keep an eye out at their website at www.epicaircraft.com
Question: I see a ton of detail on the jet engine and the front nose compartment. Doesnt that
bring down frame rates on this plane?
Answer: No. The compartments and jet engine 'hide' or disappear when the aircraft takes off,
so all their textures and polygon structures are 'non-existent' until you land again, thus keeping the
performance (and frame rates) up on the plane. Once you land though, the compartments
re-materialize.
