Fairchild 24 W withWarner
This is the radial version Fairchild 24 offered by Lionheart Creations Ltd.
This is the Fairchild 24 W in front of the Red Cabin
Lake scenery Add-On. It makes for a great get away
with the surroundings of Alaska and the sounds of a
rugged radial engine.
My fave airport to fly out to out of Boston. Parked in front of
Hutches Cafe' at Nantucket.
This panel was actually taken from a photo and then converted to
a FS panel via a ton of artistic painting and splicing via Adobe
Photoshop. The end result was a photo real panel.
Docked at the Red Lake Cabin. Neat for those remote
Alaskan adventures.
The bubble cowl was a seperate bird and made the Fairchild 24
radial version look quite classic and impressive. It was a rare
option.
Red on antique cream white was a really good looking layout.
Almost as well as the Green on Yellow.
Here are some real Fairchild classic shots. They were actually a very large bird.
This is my dads old plane which he has since sold. He found it rotting
away at an airfield in San Diego and ended up restoring it in the garage
and it became a popular site at fly-in's. It was in a magazine at one point
where dad had taken some trophies in a competition with her.
This is one of the planes I did a paint scheme off of. What a massive
bird.
This is a famous photo of a Swedish Air Force Fairchild. Note the
elevator reinforcement struts and the additional rudder under the tail.
Here are some kind reviews of the Fairchild 24
