Bugatti Type 57SC
Atlantique' Coupe'
Born of the creative talents of Ettore' Bugatti's son,
Jean, the Type 57SC Bugatti Atlantique' Coupe gained
quick fame. Even today, the cars bring a great following
and hold their values well into the millions.
Powered by a radical straight 8 twin cam Bugatti engine
with supercharger, the little ship could rev to 10,000
RPM, which at that time was incredible.
The body, though incredibly 'timeless' in design, sported a
'feature' in its theme, a set of riveted 'ribs' that went
accross the roof as well as across the fenders.
The treatments of components such as chromed tank
caps, handles, etc, were high quality to the point of being
jewel like. The dash with its many coats of laquer was a
work of art.
Jean did a brilliant job when he created this fantastic
machine....
By selecting Wingfold
command, you will find
a cool picnic assembly
that pops up next to
your Atlantique',
complete with two
bottles of fine French
wine, some golden
baggettes of bread,
and some cheeses on
a cutting board.
