The Bellanca 260
This was the last version of the infamous line of Cruisemasters. Fitted with the Continental I.O.
0-470 290 HP Continental high performance fuel injected flat six, she had brilliant performance
figures for a 4 seater aircraft.
Her rudderrettes 'shape' changed with this model. They were a bit oval and were long instead
of tall. Also note that her front gear 'barely' protruded from the bottom of the nose of the
fuselage as like the main gear did.
This was the fun part for me. The panel is a brilliant design in the 230, packed with a battery
of instrumentation and avionics, the 260 was a new plane inside as well as outside.
Here, the 260 is tied down outside the 'Factory Scenery' that comes with the Gamepack. Note
the tie-down mode with an air-chart in the perspex to keep the sun off the panel and the nice
aluminum adjustable pitch prop.
